Welcome to Biblical Hebrew course! Thank you for enrolling in what I believe is a fascinating biblical language. Why is that? Without Hebrew Bible, there is no Greek new Testament. Well, maybe God could have allowed that to happen, but He did not. We have first the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament), then the Greek New Testament.

In my college days, I took Biblical Greek first. I did well, I think. I was concerned about Hebrew language. I was, in fact, challenged that I would not be able to deal with Hebrew. Maybe it was that challenge that I did not like? :) Or, maybe God convicted me to take the Hebrew course. I took that courageous step. And I did not regret it. It was difficult at first, but got more exciting.

The same would be true of Greek. In fact, Greek is more easy when it comes to learning alphabet and reading the texts, since most Greek letters correspond to English letter (to some extent). So, it won't "look" that difficult. However, when you look at Hebrew language, (God help us!), It looks completely different from Greek. But the more you get into it the more interesting it gets.

I hope that the Lord will convince you through this course that you should dig deeper into the source language of the Scripture, learn what you should and teach and mentor others.

One must know the Word of God to stay strong in the Lord and not be swept away by false, unbiblical teachings.
